CD album: Konu Kim – “Mon seul trésor”

Konu Kim – an alumnus of the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme at the Royal Opera House, with numerous appearances on their opera debuts and concerts. He has completed his formal studies at Kyung Hee University, South Korea and Korean National Opera Academy. He then continued at Hochschule für Musik Mainz in Germany.
 
The versatile tenor is gaining international attention with his notable debuts at Covent Garden as La Fille du régiment (Tonio), Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Conte Almaviva); he reprised at the Nouvel Opéra Fribourg, L’Ange de Nisida (Leone) at the Donizetti Festival in Bergamo, Rigoletto (Il Duca) in Royal Swedish Opera,I Puritani (Arutro) at the Teatro Comunale Luciano Pavarotti Modena and I Puritani (Elvino) in the Müpa budapest.
At the Korean National Opera, Kim took on the role of Nadir in Les Pêcheurs de Perles and reprised Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni at the Daegu Metropolitan Opera.
 
Kim is a Winner of the Placido Domingo’s Operalia competition 2016, the Concours Musical International de Montréal and Manhattan international Music Competition. Furthermore, a number of prestigious awards including the 2nd Prize at the Seoul International Music Competition, Marmande International Opera Singing Competition, the G.B. Rubini, Marcello Giordani and Riccardo Zandonai Onternational Singing Competitions in Italy and the International Stanislaw Moniuszko Vocal Competition in Poland.
